DNS records for Email Marketing Print

  • 0

To get your campaigns into the inbox (not spam), the sending subdomain news.yourdomain needs four DNS records. They only affect that subdomain: your existing website and email keep working exactly as before.

If your domain's DNS is hosted with EltaHost, we add them automatically. If anything shows as missing, click Set up DNS automatically on the service page.

If your DNS is elsewhere (another registrar, Cloudflare, ...), add the records exactly as shown in the DNS records table on the service page:

  • MX for news.yourdomain pointing to mail.streamhunt.net (priority 10): lets bounce messages come back so bad addresses are removed automatically.
  • TXT (SPF) for news.yourdomain: v=spf1 a:mail.streamhunt.net -all
  • TXT (DKIM) for dkim._domainkey.news.yourdomain: the long key shown on the service page. Copy it in full.
  • TXT (DMARC) for _dmarc.news.yourdomain: v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; adkim=r; aspf=r

DNS changes can take from a few minutes up to a few hours. The status column on the service page is a live check: reload it until all four show OK.

On Cloudflare, records must be DNS only (grey cloud). Some DNS panels add the domain automatically, so enter just news, dkim._domainkey.news and _dmarc.news as the name.
