This Privacy Policy explains what personal data EltaHost collects, why, and what your rights are. It applies to our website eltahost.com, the client area and all our services.
1. Who is responsible
EltaHost is the controller of your personal data. Contact us about privacy at support@eltahost.com.
2. What we collect
Account data: name, company, address, email, phone number and password (stored encrypted).
Order and billing data: services, invoices, payment status and payment method. Card payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal; we never store your full card number.
Technical data: IP address, browser, login times and actions in the client area, kept for security and fraud prevention.
Support data: the content of tickets, chats and emails you send us.
Service data: for some services we need extra information, for example a server IP address for a license, or domain contact details for a domain registration.
3. Why we use it (legal basis)
To provide the services you order, bill them and support you (performance of a contract).
To meet legal obligations such as accounting and tax rules (legal obligation).
To keep our services secure and prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interest).
To send you offers and our weekly newsletter only if you agreed (consent). You can withdraw consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or in the client area.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share only what is needed with:
Payment providers (Stripe, PayPal) to process payments.
Our domain registrar partner and the domain registries, for domain registrations (as required by their rules).
Software license vendors, which receive the server IP address a license is issued for.
Providers of the servers and data centres we use to run our services.
Authorities, when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Account and service data: as long as you are a customer, and up to 2 years after your last service ends.
Invoices and payment records: as long as accounting and tax law requires (usually up to 10 years).
Security logs: up to 12 months.
Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict how we use it. Much of it you can view and change yourself in the client area. For anything else, open a ticket or email us. Some data must be kept for legal reasons (for example invoices). You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
7. Cookies
We use only cookies that are needed for the website to work, such as your login session, shopping cart and language choice. We do not use advertising cookies.
8. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, restricted staff access and regular security updates. You can add two-factor authentication to your account in the client area.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, and we will notify you of important changes by email.
