We recommend that you keep your own backups, especially before big changes such as updates or redesigns.
- Full backup: in cPanel, open Backup and click Download a Full Account Backup. When it's ready, download the file to your computer.
- Files only: in File Manager, right-click
public_html→ Compress, then download the zip. - Database only: in cPanel → Backup, download a database backup, or export it from phpMyAdmin.
- WordPress and other apps: Softaculous can make scheduled backups of each installation.
Keep at least one copy off the server, for example on your computer or in cloud storage.
